Only pools 48" or taller with compression straps on the outside of the vertical support legs of the pool are affected by this recall. If your pool is shorter than 48” or the compression strap is running inside of the pool support poles, your pool is NOT subject to this recall (see images above). On recalled above-ground pools, the compression strap that surrounds the outside of the pool legs may create a foothold, which could allow a child to gain access to the pool and create a potential drowning hazard. The recall repair consists of a rope that will maintain the structural integrity of the pool (a function previously served by the compression strap).

We ask consumers with affected pools to take precautions set out in CPSC's Pool Safely guidelines at www.PoolSafely.gov to ensure that children cannot access recalled pools without adult supervision, including removing pool ladders and any other objects near the pool such as patio furniture, and ensuring required and recommended barriers are closed and locked.
